In Memoriam - Mark Barry

In Memoriam - Mark Barry To All Members of GRTC: My father, Mark Barry, has recently passed away, last Friday.  Mark was two time Rochester Runner of the Year 2008 and 2009, for  his age group 55-59.   While training for the NYC Marathon, and suffered a heart attack. Death had come quick and sudden at home.  I wanted to write to this organization to put out the word of his passing, he had met many friends through this organization, and running had become his passion.  He truly enjoyed GRTC and the friends and rivals that were forged over the past few years.  My mother Elizabeth Barry, his daughter Sarah her son 4 month old Calvin and myself.  As a family we would greatly appreciate the next time any GRTC runner run a race have your thoughts and prayers for my father.  Hopefully he was able to finish enough races for the 2010 season to become a 3-peat champion.  Keep Running, Mark Barry Jr.
