Boston Marathon Qualifying Changes

Boston Marathon Registration and Qualifying Standards Change! The BAA has just announced changes in the registration process for the 2012 Boston Marathon and a tightening of the qulaifying standards for 2013.  Although the qualifying times do not change for the 2012 marathon, registration will be controlled by allowing the fastest runners to register first.  For 2013, the qualifying times have been tightened by 5 minutes and the 59 second "grace" allowance has been eliminated, effectively reducing the qualifying times by 5:59.  See the complete explanation and details on the BAA site: http://www.baa.org/news-and-press/news-listing/2011/february/boston-athletic-association-announces-new-registration-process.aspx
