Runner by Thomas Perry

No, I haven't written the great American novel about running.  John L. Parker, Jr. did that 30 years ago with the cult classic Once A Runner.  [Fleet Feet Sports recently republished this classic book.  Get a copy if you don't already have it.]  No, this Runner is a new Jane Whitefield novel by another Thomas Perry.  The author, Thomas Perry, was born in Tonawanda, got a B.A. from Cornell and a Ph.D. from the U of R.  He now lives in Southern California.
